Ragdoll Cat – Ragdoll Cat Videos – Ragdoll Kittens
Most breeders do not sell cats with breeding rights. If you will not be able to register the kittens as pedigreed cats, there is little point in breeding them. Because cats are so prone to infectious disease, stud service is very seldom offered, as your cat might make the stud sick, or the stud might make your cat sick (and jeopardize any pregnancy). So contact the breeder of your cat and talk to her about breeding. She should be able to offer you guidance on an available stud, or tell you why your girl shouldn’t be bred (relatives with genetic diseases, poor quality, etc.)
I’m not surprised you can’t find anyone. No reputable ragdoll owner/breeder will allow their cat to mate with a pet quality ragdoll. If you bought your cat from a reputable breeder, I’m surprised you didn’t have to sign something saying that yuo would spay her and never breed her. Do you have breeding rights for her? If you didn’t get her from a reputable breeder, then it’s very unlikely she’s breeding quality. Imo, there’s no difference between what you are trying to do and anyone breeding from their mixed breed cat. All you will be doing is adding yet more cats to a world in which many are pts every day because no-one will give them a home. If you had a breeding quality ragdoll who is an excellent example of the breed and you were committed to preserving and improving the breed, then breeding your female might be justifiable. But any other reasons are not justifiable imo. And if you were experienced in showing and breeding ragdolls, you wouldn’t be asking on here for a stud cat. Please be wary of anyone who volunteers and make sure their cat (and yours) have been tested for FIV etc.
If you want to breed ragdolls, then fine. But please approach it in the right way and become an expert in the breed first then purchase a breeding quality ragdoll to breed from. That way you make contacts in the breeding world and the breeder who sells you the breeding quality cat will mentor you as you start your breeding programme. If you just want to be around kittens, then volunteer to foster a pregnant cat for a local rescue. But please spay your ragdoll female.
Wow, because someone desperately begging on the internet is the person I want to breed MY cat with. Yeah right.
Ragdolls and Himalayans are two entirely different breeds. You either have one or the other. Or a mutt cat, which is horribly irresponsible to breed.
Sounds to me like you have no business breeding, and you certainly won’t find anyone on an information forum who wants to help you overpopulate the animal shelters with more cats. Spay your cat and get a hobby.
why dont you spay her and make her and your life easier.. there are already hundreds dying in shelters yearly!!! dont add to the numbers!
